The agreement
These terms cover the purchase of the ebook The Destroying Angels from this site. Buying the book means you accept them.
What you get
A personal, non-transferable licence to read the book on devices you own, for as long as you like. You do not get ownership of the work itself.
You may not:
- Resell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the file.
- Upload it to a file-sharing site or public server.
- Strip or alter copyright notices.
- Use the text to train a machine learning model.
Lending your copy to one person the way you would lend a paperback is fine.
Price and payment
Prices are in US dollars and shown before you pay. Sales tax or VAT is calculated at checkout based on your location, and added on top of the listed price where it applies. Payment is handled by Stripe. I never see or store your card details.
Delivery
Your download link is emailed immediately after payment and also appears on the confirmation page. The link expires after seven days. If yours expires before you save the file, email me and I will send another at no charge.

The book is fiction
The Destroying Angels is a novel. It draws on documented history, but characters, organisations and events in it are either invented or used fictitiously. The author's note in the book separates the two. Nothing in it is a statement of fact about any real person or organisation.
Liability
The book is sold as is. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from its purchase or use. My total liability is limited to what you paid. Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States. If you bought as a consumer elsewhere, you keep the protections of your local law.
